1 year, full-time

Course Overview

This higher-level programme leads to an Advanced Certificate in Administration accredited by FETAC. Learners who successfully complete the programme will develop their knowledge and understanding of the IT management process and acquire the skills necessary to function as highly productive users of computer systems.

Entry Requirements

  • Applicants must have completed an IT/computer course, with a minimum of 30wpm.

  • A minimum of FETAC Level 5 must have been achieved in Word Processing, Database, Spreadsheets and Manual/Computerised Accounts. 

  • Mature learners (over 23) may be exempt from the above academic requirements.

Progression/Employment Opportunities

  • It is envisaged that successful Award holders will acquire positions in a modern office, preferably at junior management level e.g. public and private sector positions in clerical, administrative, legal, accounts, data processing, health services, banking, insurance etc.

Fees

As an NDP-funded programme, there are no tuition fees. Learners, however, are liable for registration and examination fees. Additionally, learners are expected to supply prescribed class and study materials.

Means-tested maintenance grants are available.
