Course Overview
This programme leads to internationally recognised qualifications in Beauty and Complementary therapies. The programme consists of intensive practical and theoretical training in the various aspects of the profession. Learners are trained in a state-of-the-art beauty therapy salon. A compulsory work experience module in a busy salon reinforces theory and practical work.
Entry Requirements

Applicants must have passed their Leaving Certificate, to include Biology or Home Economics.

Mature students (over 23) may be exempt from these academic requirements, but some experience in the area is essential.

FETAC Level 5 Records of Achievement (General Studies)* (Learners may take a combination of these awards)
Progression/Employment Opportunities
Beauty and Complementary Therapy is a thriving profession with an ever-increasing demand for trained therapists. Lucrative employment opportunities arise for therapists in beauty salons,health clinics, spas, theatre, film, cruise liners and teaching. There is also the option of self employment in a salon or as a Mobile Therapist.
Fees
As an NDP-funded programme, there are no tuition fees. Learners, however, are liable for registration and examination fees. Additionally, learners are expected to supply prescribed class and study materials.
Means-tested maintenance grants are available.
