This course is designed specifically with the older individual in mind - for those who wish to become familiar with the practical operation of the Internet and e-mail. It is geared for those who have no interest in advanced computer skills such as spreadsheet, database and web design. No previous computer experience is required and the content will be delivered in a relaxed atmosphere with NO assessment
Course Description
- Introduction : Turn off/on computer in a safe fashion - Logging on and logging off a computer
- Explanation of desktop and its icons
- Writing Documents: Write and edit simple documents and printing documents
- Email: Create an email account; send and receive emails; send, open and save attachments
- Internet: Surf the net for information, understand and use of web browsers / search engines
- Shop online and pay by credit card
- Book flights / holidays online
- Create a Skype Account and How to use a Webcam
- Store digital pictures on your computer, make changes to your pictures using free software; select pictures for printing
