LCFE has had a great start to the academic year 2018/2019 with many great things transpiring since September.
LCFE welcomed many guests on our first year participating in Culture Night September. We had a range of very successful and enjoyable workshops running on the night.
The LCFE Soccer had a fantastic win in their inaugural match against CIT in the Rustler Colleges and Universities Football League. Wishing the team the best of luck in their next match against Waterford College of Further Education.
Former LCFE learner, Ailish Considine, stole the show this autumn. The dual GAA star has signed for the Australian Football League Women’s Adelaide Crows team. Ailish studied both Art & Design and Sports, Recreation & Exercise at LCFE. What an adventure she is about to have? Well done and best of luck Ailish!
As part of our Erasmus Plus Programme, LCFE we excited to welcome a group of 12 students from Birmingham South & City College this October. Erasmus Plus is the EU’s programme to support education, training, youth and sport in Europe which is open to individuals and organisations.
Health & Well-Being Week ran in October with guest seminars on a wide range of topics from Mind to Matter, Consent, Digital Citizenship, Drug Awareness.
Each morning Healthy Fruit and Water were available free to learners and the week finished on a high note with the Cheerios Childline Breakfast Morning where there was a fantastic range of yummy brekkie foodstuffs available.
