Our Annual Business Forum was held on Wednesday 25 January 2017. This year’s theme was Local Employment Opportunities.
The Business Forum was held in the LCFE Main Hall from 11.30 – 1.00 with the following exciting and engaging guest speakers:
The event was opened with a superb introduction by Hilary McCann, Head of Business LCFE. The mantle then fell to Eimear Brophy, Employer Engagement Officer with LCETB who spoke in an engaging and relevant manner to the audience on the theme of local employment opportunities and the world of possibilities out there for graduates at Level 5 and Level 6.
Next up was the team from Pepper Asset Management, Justine Leigh and Fiona Hogan – Justine is the Learning and Development Manager at Pepper and Fiona one of their “Exceptional Potential” programme members. The ladies spoke of opportunities within Pepper Asset Management and outlined some of the possible paths available to members of staff there.
The closing address was presented by Siobhan O’Dwyer, a LCFE 2004 graduate who outlined the path she has taken so far in her career to Smarter Travel Co-ordinator – a path which began with a Level 5 Qualification from LCFE.
The highly successful event was formally closed by Hilary McCann.
