Learners at College of FET Mulgrave St have once again proved, through their success, the value, relevance and importance of further education and training courses in skill development and as part of a person’s life long learning journey.

Well done to all 11 finalists from the Art & Design Department in the Smarter Travel Student Awards 2023.  A huge congratulations to Trudy Reardon, who became the overall winner in the Media, Graphic and Illustration Award 2023.

The Smarter Travel Student Awards invite students to develop a project that supports, facilitates and/or enables sustainable and/or active travel modes to, from, and on campus that is relevant to their field of study and interest.

Congratulations also to Alexandra Moloney won the Virgin Media Belonging Award at the National Student Media Awards 2023.  This award recognises a reporter/ producer who champions DE+I (Diversity, Equality and Inclusion), through their content whether that is radio, print, online or television.

Alex had been nominated for two awards at the SMEDIAS; Best Radio Documentary and the Virgin Media Belonging award alongside her classmate Kemi Afolabi from Advanced Broadcasting and Media Production.

Our Photography was represented by Brandon Hanley in the ‘Photgrapher of the Year‘ category.

We’re so very proud of all our learners who entered this year and it speaks to the level of work and talent put into their craft. With many of those entering at level 5 we’re looking forward to continue developing their creativity and skills in our Level 6 Creative Media courses.

Wishing you all every success and happiness in your next step.
