It’s been an exciting start so far to the Sporting Year at LCFE. Our Ladies’ teams have really hit the ground running competing admirably in The National Freshers’ Camogie Blitz held at UCD. The team reached the Semi-final, only to be knocked out by the eventual overall Ashbourne winners, University of Limerick.
The LGFA National Fresher Blitz which was held at UL was a tough day given the inclement weather but our ladies reached the quarter final – no mean feat given that over 30 teams competed. Again, the team’s commitment and effort did the LCFE Jersey proud.
The 7th Annual LCFE Induction Soccer Tournament, hosted at the UL Sports Arena, caused great excitement on Friday with teams from many classes competing. The final saw the winners, Sports, Recreation and Exercise Group 1 class finally taking the title after a well fought final against the Staff Team. It was a great day with everyone getting involved and getting into the spirit of having fun through the medium of sport. Massive thanks to the LCFE Advanced Sports Class who ran the day extremely well. Here’s a few snaps!
