Exciting new Green initiative here at LCFE.

This week saw the launch of our Green Gallery.  This will be a rotating gallery which aims to promote a more sustainable attitude here on campus.  We hope that by raising awareness of the many different issues regarding our planet and our use of consumables amongst our college population, we can help make a difference.

As the novel coronavirus pandemic continues to play such a prominent part in our lives it would be easy to forget our green obligations.

It is hard to measure how COVID 19 has affected the environment, but a real concern would be the potential waste being produced by the substantial increase in using single-use items, such as disposable masks, disinfecting wipes and paper towels.

In LCFE we have gone to great lengths to keep our entire community healthy and safe during this pandemic but we also believe it is still possible to practice green habits without compromising your health.

One very simple step we are encouraging everyone to make, is to wear a reusable mask, it is cheaper in the long run and it is obviously more environmentally friendly.
