Limerick’s Lifelong Learning Festival celebrates its sixth year with more free events than ever before! LCFE is delighted to be a part of the festival again this year offering a number of free events throughout the week including Fashion and Textile Design workshops andTraditional Photography & Darkroom Printing workshops along with a Creating Contemporary Fashion Accessories workshop at the Thomond Park Showcase on Saturday 16th April. Almost 200 FREE events and activities will be on offer in both Limerick City and County this week promoting and celebrating learning in all its forms. The 2016 Limerick Lifelong Learning Festival takes place from 16th – 22th April. The week-long festival will showcase the wide range of learning events happening throughout Limerick city and county for all age groups. The activities taking place range from Arm Chair Yoga and Genealogy Workshops to Line Dancing and Computers for the terrified!
The Thomond Park Showcase, one of the main highlights of the week, on Saturday, 16th April, will be a celebration of festival highlights. Set up as a ‘learner market’, it will include a variety of workshops and activities for children and young people, culture, business and personal development, arts and crafts, music and dancing, sports and leisure, health studies as well as nay events exploring more traditional education and training areas. displays including a story factory, free entry to the Thomond Park Museum and a television and video demo studio!
